He has a humongous appetite and snores a lot. He has obviously had his surname changed, as does not match that of either parent.
He is considered an illegitimate son of his father Fergus McDuck and Vera O'Drake, a sister of Downy O'Drake who would later become Fergus's wife. Rumpus was introduced as a lazy and greedy cousin of Scrooge McDuck, but it was soon revealed that he was Scrooge's half-brother. Van Horn is still the only artist to have used the character. Rumpus McFowl is a fictional character of the Scrooge McDuck universe, created by William van Horn in 1994.
